Marshfield Clinic's Biomedical Informatics Research Center (BIRC) is Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation's newest research center. The mission of BIRC is to accelerate improvements in human health and well being through informatics research while providing integrated tools, services and reliable management of information assets in support of Marshfield Clinic missions. BIRC provides research support in programming, information systems, biostatistics and data management. The Center Manager, in conjunction with the Center Director, is responsible for administration of the Center: plan/administer the budget; develop/implement Center strategic plan; implement and evaluate procedures, programs and projects; and ensure Center goals and objectives are met.
