Based on the company’s phenomenal growth, Althea is now able to expand their service portfolio and more than double overall manufacturing capacity. In 2003, Althea relocated to a new facility located in the midst of San Diego's biotechnologies region. |

Althea Technologies provides a wide range of Quantitative PCR testing services designed to meet preclinical and clinical requirements. It is the company’s knowledge of assay development and sample processing that has made Althea a leading provider of services for the biopharmaceutical industry. The company provides quality service and assistance at every level of drug product research and development to partnered research agencies and other clients. Althea Technologies is operating from a state-of-the-art facility that was designed according to GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) guidelines and an in-house Quality Assurance team is always there to offer support and insure that manufacturing and laboratory activities adherence to the GLP codes.
As stated above, Althea Technologies offers multiple forms of quantitative PCR testing programs. Each one is geared to deal with a specific aspects assay development and sampling analysis.
Althea Technologies also offers cGMP contract manufacturing services to many businesses operating in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The scientific teams involved in every aspect of manufacturing all have extensive experience or professional backgrounds working on scale-up and process development, fermentation, purification and analytical testing, final formulation and product filling. Within Althea’s custom-designed facilities the perfect production environment exists to facilitate the complex elements of cGMP manufacturing services. These services include the production of recombinant proteins and plasmid DNA, lyophilization, as well as systematic filling of aseptic vial and syringes for use with preclinical and Phase 1, 2, and 3 clinical product candidates. |
