As of December 31, 2004, IDX’ systems served approximately 150,000 physicians and 500 hospitals; and were installed at approximately 3,400 sites in United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
In 2005, GE Healthcare announced that it was to takeover IDX Systems, to improve its portfolio of health IT systems it offered.

Products and Services: |
IDX’ products comprise IDX Carecast System, IDX Flowcast, IDX Imagecast, and IDX Groupcast.
• IDX Carecast System offers integrated clinical and financial solutions to healthcare institutions, such as integrated delivery networks (IDN), academic medical centers (AMC), and hospitals.
• IDX Flowcast combines advanced workflow software with proactive consulting services and support for IDNs, hospitals, and physician group practices.
• IDX Imagecast offers healthcare institutions, such as hospitals, AMCs, IDNs, and imaging centers, with distributed access to clinical findings and associated images.
• IDX Groupcast offers patient management, financial management, and decision support solutions for mid-to larger-size group medical practices and physician service organizations.
IDX Systems also offers consulting, outsourcing and educational services to it customers.
