Job Description:
Job title: Certified Medical Coders
Location: Franklin, TN
Duration: 6 -12 Months
No of positions: 10
We are currently seeking medical coders for a 12 month project based in Nashville TN. This position does require the candidates to work from an office.
Requirements
1. Certified Medical Coding Specialist
2. Physician, Inpatient, Outpatient.
3. Should have knowledge of basic computer skills and PC applications.
4. Medical terminology
5. Should be able to demonstrate knowledge of and use auditing skills related to coding quality and compliance.
6. Codes patient medical records (diagnosis and procedures) ICD-9 and CPT codes in accordance with established and updated coding policies and guidelines, maintaining a quality level of >=98%.
7. Ensure optimal hospital reimbursement legitimately and ethically using approved coding guidelines and conventions.
8. Should be AAPC/AHIMA certified with at least 2 years' experience coding inpatient (both E/M and surgery) charts.
