Job Description:
The Medical Director, ID will provide strategic and medical/scientific leadership for the clinical development of investigational anti-hepatitis drugs with an emphasis on drugs that stimulate innate immunity.
Responsibilities:
- Formulation of clinical development strategies.
- Collaboration with clinical investigators and thought leaders.
- Management of clinical project activities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient clinical evaluations of investigational anti-hepatitis agents.
- Participation or leading the preparation, review and approval of clinical study protocols and reports, Investigator Brochures, case report forms, and safety reports.
- Management of clinical safety issues for infectious disease and oncology projects.
- Providing clinical input into drug discovery projects and strategy and clinical support to business development and legal groups.
- Contributing to the overall clinical department strategy, recruitment and management of medical/scientific staff in accordance with future company growth.

Qualifications:
Position Qualifications:
- M.D. with 3-5 years experience in antiviral clinical trials including at least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical industry drug development setting.
- Board certified in Infectious diseases or related discipline.
- Manage and direct strategic and scientific aspects of clinical research and development programs.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- Good communication, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Previous international experience is desirable.
- Willingness to travel.
- Language - English.
