Job Description:
An early stage biotech company is seeking a Scientific/Lab Technician to perform supervised routine tests, operational support tasks, including cell growth and media preparation.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Tissue culture of mesenchymal and epithelial cells.
Isolating cells from animals or human organized tissue.
Analyzing cells and cell products using the common tools of cell biology.
Analying data, statistical analysis and reporting.
Reagent and media preparation.
Equipment and tooling maintenance and cleaning.
Process tooling cleaning, disinfection and sterilization.
Some training of other personnel.

Exposure:
Human materials and laboratory animals
Laboratory use of chemicals and reagents typically used in cell and molecular biology.

Hours may include weekends and holidays. Reliability is critical.
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will possess:
3+ years experience in a regulated industry working under GMP or GLP guidelines.
Direct tissue culture laboratory skills using tissue/cell culture and possibly molecular biology techniques.
Aseptic processing in flow hoods or biological safety cabinets within a clean room.
Comfortable working in a clean room environment while wearing clean room gown, double gloves, face mask and shoe covers.
Working knowledge of universal precautions for handling potentially infectious human tissue, biohazards and /or chemical hazards.
GMP/GLP documentation, attention to detail, well organized.
Familiar with analytical equipment and test methods used in cell biology, microbiology and molecular biology to assess cell numbers, cell viability, cellular product lineage and cellular product potency assays.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced challenging environment.
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
