We are currently recruiting a Certified Medical Coder for our Grand Rapids location.
Position Details:
In this position, the qualified individual will code emergency room physician charts using CPT4 and ICD-9 and knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy. Coding and data entry from hard copy or image copy.
Position Requirements:
Minimum requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Ten key by touch required/minimum 8,000 to 10,000 kph
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT4
- High degree of confidentiality
- Overtime as required
- All other duties as assigned
- Candidate must pass Internal Certification (MCC) Test
- Previous Medical Coding experience
- Minimum of 6 months experience preferred
- Emergency Medicine is a plus.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent and Medical Coding Certificate required (CPC or CCS-P).
